Fast Cutting Heavy Cut Compound for Menzerna Clear Coats

Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 (FG400) is an aggressive professional cutting compound designed to tackle deep scratches and severe etching efficiently. Unlike many cutting compounds, it finishes well, providing a crisp, high-gloss finish that often requires only minor refining with a finishing polish afterwards. The compound uses ultra-fine, precision-ground aluminum oxide particles suspended in a base of lubricating oils, and it does not contain any fillers.

Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 (FG400) is suitable for use on conventional hard paint finishes in situations where maximum cutting is required, as well as on scratch-resistant clear coats. For best results when using a dual-action buffer, it is recommended to work with a Lake Country 140mm Hydro-Tech cutting pad, using only 3-4 pea-sized drops of the product per 18" x 18" area. The product should be worked thoroughly at 4000-5000 orbits per minute (speed 4-5 on most dual-action machine polishers) until only an oily film remains, and then the film should be cleaned carefully with a PB Super Buffing polishing towel.

When using a rotary polisher, Menzerna Heavy Cut Compound 400 (FG400) should be worked with a Lake Country 140mm H-T rotary cutting pad, using only 1-2 pea-sized drops of the product per 18" x 18" area. The product should be worked thoroughly at 1500-2000 revolutions per minute (speed 3-4 on most rotary polishers) using the zenith method until only an oily film remains.
